Mrs. Jeffers

Biography

Although I am a native of Minnesota, Arizona is truly home since I have lived in the Valley for over 35 years. My professional education started in New Ulm, MN, where I graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Continuing my education in Arizona, I have become state certified to teach grades K-8 with an endorsement in Early Childhood and Structured English Immersion.
I have taught over 25 years, starting out in the public school system (Washington and Peoria School Districts) where I worked with children from preschool through fourth grade. I have also taught at two other Lutheran Elementary Schools (WELS) in the Phoenix area: Grace in Glendale where I taught fourth grade and St. Thomas in Goodyear, where I taught preschool, kindergarten, and first grade.

My husband Gary is a development director for a nonprofit organization. We have been blessed with two daughters. The oldest is married with three children and teaches piano in the Miami, FL area. The other is a metabolic dietitian at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

My hobbies include hiking, trying new recipes, spending time with family, and reading.
