I cannot wait to begin teaching at Cross of Glory. I just finished my 33rd year of teaching, but it seems like just yesterday I was student teaching in a K-8 school in Iron ridge, Wisconsin. I graduated in 1983 from Martin Luther College with a BS in Elementary Education with history and science as areas of concentration. In the summer of 1983, I married Kim Joseph, a college classmate, and we moved to Houston, Texas. While teaching at Christ the Lord in Houston, we were blessed with the first of our four children, Samuel (88). Soon after came Krista (89), Remington (91), and Isaac (93). Three of our children are married, and Remington became engaged over Easter. Over the years I have taught students ranging from grade 3-8 in Texas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Arizona. I hold a state of Wisconsin teaching license. I am currently working on a master’s program through Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. Over the years I have been involved in forensics meets, science fairs, pinewood derbies, plays, spelling bees, and fine arts fairs. I have had the opportunity to coach basketball, soccer, cross country, volleyball, softball, and track. Whatever I am teaching or in whatever I am doing, I enjoy the opportunity to present everything from the Christian worldview and to encourage students and families to grow in Christ. I am looking forward to getting to know the congregation, area, families, and staff, but mostly the students I will be teaching.
