Pastor Benjamin Foxen

Pastor Benjamin Foxen Biography:

Benjamin Andrew Foxen was born to Gregory and Laurel Foxen (nee Schumann) on November 22, 1982, in Oconomowoc, WI, the youngest of four children. Shortly after his birth, his father changed jobs, and the family moved to Broken Arrow, OK. After living there for a few years, they moved to Crete, IL, where Ben spent most of his childhood years. He attended Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI, where his desire to      become a pastor was fanned into flame, and where he met his future wife, Rebekah Laitinen. He went on to study at Martin Luther College and graduated in 2005. After his first year of seminary and after Becky’s graduation from Martin Luther College, they were married on July 2, 2006. They spent their first year of marriage helping the ELS mission in Plzen, Czech Republic. They then returned to the States so that Ben could finish his     seminary studies. In May of 2008, they were blessed with their first child, a son, whom they named Levi. Ben served as a vicar in various congregations in Michigan from 2008-2009, and then graduated from the seminary in 2010. He was assigned to be a missionary in    Novosibirsk, Russia. In late July of 2010, God gave them a second child, their daughter Kirsi. Akademgorodok became their home for the next six years, during which time Ben’s work was primarily focused on evangelism. In October of 2015, God graced Ben and Becky with yet another child, their daughter Katya. In June of 2016 Ben accepted a call to serve Cross of Glory. He and his family are excited to see how God will bless the work we do together here in Peoria!
