I am so blessed to say that I was born and raised in Manitowoc, WI, where my family still lives. I went through a WELS grade school as well as attended Manitowoc Lutheran High School. After much deliberation and encouragement by family, teachers, and my future husband, Micah, I found myself attending Martin Luther College to become an Elementary Teacher. I graduated in 2013 from MLC with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.
That summer Micah and I were married and I began my first call in the ministry teaching 3rd & 4th grade at St. John’s Redwood Falls, MN, while Micah finished his 5th year of school. Micah and I decided to be adventurous and spent the next year in Wuhan, China, teaching English and telling others of God’s great love for us. After our year in China, Micah was called to teach here at Cross of Glory, while I worked as a care provider for a little boy with Down Syndrome. We have been in AZ for the past few years and enjoying the lack of snow and cold weather.
I am very excited to get back to teaching in a classroom. I look forward to exploring literature and grammar with the 5-8th grade students and hope to impart my love of reading, music, and Jesus with my students.
