As a church that focuses on families, we seek to keep the family unit together as they learn about God. We want parents to have the opportunity in church to teach their children about God. This thinking has resulted in something we call “Children in Church.” Instead of taking children to a separate room during the worship service, we encourage families to sit together to praise and learn about their Savior. There is a special children’s message during the service, when the children come to the front to have an interactive discussion with the pastor. During the sermon, children can either sit with their families, where we encourage adults to interact and discuss with them the things they’re hearing, or children have the option of sitting in a spot specially designated for them in the worship hall with some materials that will focus their attention on the sermon’s theme.
